The role
Reporting to the Manager Data & Technical Analysis you will acquire data for the purposes of performance reporting and ensuring that data provided by data custodians is fit for purpose for the use of the Performance Reporting and Insights teams and other analysts. You will maintain our performance reporting data warehouse, automating data validation reports and working with data custodians on data which has failed data validation logic tests to confirm if data is 'fit for purpose'.
Furthermore, you will be required to undertake complex analysis, prepare data outputs, and provide data quality reports based on data from clinical, administrative, and financial information systems for internal customers to enable benchmarking and assist in the development of strategies to improve healthcare in Queensland.
The successful person
To be successful in this role you will have a comprehensive understanding and breadth of experience in extracting information/data from data collections to advise on performance improvement opportunities and risks to executive management, undertaking and automating data validation checks and managing and establishing a data warehouse. You will have a strong ability to undertake SQL queries including setting up ad-hoc Integration Services (SSIS) projects and stored procedures as well as to visualising, articulating, conceptualising & problem solving to prepare and present data for the purposes of performance reporting and preparing data quality insights using business intelligence systems.
In addition to this, you will have the proven ability to communicate with influence, interpersonal, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to cultivate productive working relationships and networks.
