**ROLE OBJECTIVES**
A Supply Chain Assistant supports the supply chain team by helping coordinate and manage the flow of goods, services, quality and information throughout the supply chain process. This role typically involves handling administrative tasks, maintaining inventory records, processing orders, and liaising with suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
**ROLE ACTIVITIES**
1. Order Processing: The Supply Chain Assistant helps with processing purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in the details such as quantities, delivery dates, and pricing. They coordinate with suppliers to confirm orders and track their status.
2. Inventory Management and forecasting: Assisting with monitoring inventory levels and coordinating replenishments is a key task. The assistant helps ensure that stock levels are maintained to meet production or customer demand, while minimizing overstocking.
3. Supplier Communication: They serve as a point of contact for suppliers, ensuring that orders are delivered on time and resolving any issues related to shipments, quality, or delays. They may also help in negotiating terms with suppliers.
4. Data Entry & Reporting: The role often involves maintaining accurate records in supply chain management systems or ERP software. This includes entering order information, tracking shipment details, and updating inventory databases. The Supply Chain Assistant may also generate reports on stock levels, order statuses, and supplier performance.
5. Logistics Coordination: They help with scheduling shipments and deliveries, coordinating with shipping companies, and ensuring that goods are transported efficiently. In some cases, they may assist in managing customs paperwork for international shipments.
6. Support in Supply Chain Optimization: The assistant may assist in analyzing data related to the supply chain to identify areas for improvement, such as cost reduction, faster delivery times, or more efficient processes.
7. Direct coordinate supply chain functions through strategy, resource optimization, profitability, maximization, and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), resulting in the maximization of customer experience and satisfaction.
8. Work with management, Finance, Customer service and Sales to determine the most cost -effective distribution solution for finished goods transportation to customer.
9. Support proper utilization of the ERP system for the supply chain and logistic functions with a focus on the Warehouse Management.
10. Keep detailed records, generate reports, and develop presentations to aid decisions making with the business.
11. Champaign and ensure compliance with health and safety practices in the workplace ISO9001.
12. Monitor production and warehousing reports to determine opportunities for change.
13. Plan and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop, control and improve service programs.
14. Support and report regular stock take.
15. Optimization of stock level and location.
Pay: From $70,828.93 per year
Schedule:
