About the role
As a proactive, results-driven Communications Manager, you will develop and manage targeted, multi-channel communications programs to drive brand visibility and progress the firm's strategic objectives. As a member of the Group Marketing team, your hands-on role will primarily focus on promoting and protecting the brand while also facilitating business development across domestic markets. You will supervise and mentor the Group PR and Communications Advisor and work with a team of marketing and business development professionals across our offices in Australia and New Zealand.
**Reporting to the Head of Group Marketing, you will**:
Drive, develop and implement the William Buck Group's content strategy through communications programs to drive brand visibility, cohesive messaging, shape public perception and progress the firm's strategic objectives.
Provide expert communications advice and expertise to colleagues across the firm, including the Board, Partners and the wider Marketing team.
Develop and implement internal communications strategies to ensure consistent messaging and foster a culture of engagement and alignment.
Supervise and mentor Group PR and Communications Advisor to manage and maintain positive, valuable relationships with the media to secure coverage and maximise brand exposure.
Monitor and report on media exposure and campaign performance.
Deliver to other initiatives and projects as required by the business.
**We are looking for someone who**:
Has a bachelor's degree in communications or a related field
Has 7+ years of experience in a communications role
Has high attention to detail and outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Has a passion for storytelling and the ability to turn complex information into a compelling narrative
Has strong editorial skills
Is a team player with the ability to work autonomously and drive their performance
Remains calm under pressure, meets deadlines and successfully manages conflicting workloads
Established network of media contacts and experience with crisis communications highly considered
Ability to travel from time to time.
**You'll interact closely with**:
Group Marketing team
Internal focus groups which include partners and principals across all our service lines
Broader marketing team
Internal contributors to articles, content and commentary
External digital, content and design agencies
People and Culture (P&C) teams
Media, as needed
