Sydney, New South Wales, Australia BOQ Group Full time
About The Role

We're looking for a confident and experienced investigations leader to head up BOQ's Group Investigations function. You'll lead multiple team leaders and work closely with senior leaders across the business to deliver on our internal fraud, whistleblower, and law enforcement requests. Your focus will be on protecting the Bank—running investigations, identifying fraud risks, and strengthening relationships with law enforcement and external agencies.

This role is hands-on and strategic. You'll oversee investigations into internal and whistleblower matters, lead fraud detection efforts across mortgage and other products, and ensure our processes align with BOQ's standards. You'll be preparing reports for Executive review, attending court hearings when needed, and representing BOQ professionally in legal proceedings. You'll also be a key contact for external stakeholders including law enforcement and industry bodies, while supporting our Anti-Bribery and Corruption and Fraud Management policies. It's a role with real impact, and a chance to shape how we manage risk across the Bank.

About You

You – our preferred candidate, you are a self-starter with many years' experience in investigations, fraud, financial crime, or anti-bribery and corruption. You've worked with law enforcement or regulators, and you're confident navigating sensitive data, legal processes, and complex risk environments.

Strong leadership is important to this role, guiding a team with confidence, building trust, and staying focused on what matters. You bring strong knowledge of banking products, risk frameworks, and investigative techniques. You're comfortable leading a team, working independently, and building trust across the business.

If you're ready to lead with purpose and help shape how BOQ manages risk, we'd love to hear from you - join us in building a safer, stronger bank
