We are seeking a qualified and passionate Chef to create high-quality, nutritious meals that meet the dietary needs of our aged care residents.
Your Role – More Than Just Cooking As a Chef you will: Prepare and present varied, nourishing, and appetizing meals that align with dietary needs and preferences.
Ensure a safe, clean, and efficient kitchen environment, maintaining hygiene and compliance standards.
Collaborate with catering staff, residents, and care teams to enhance meal services.
Lead and support kitchen staff, fostering a high-performance and team-driven culture.
Manage kitchen finances, including menu planning, budgeting, and stock control.
Evaluate and improve catering services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resident satisfaction.
What You Bring to the Table A relevant trade qualification (Cert III or Cert IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent).
Experience working in a commercial kitchen, ideally in Aged Care or large-scale catering.
A valid Queensland Driver's Licence.
Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to mentor and guide staff.
Knowledge of safe food handling practices and WHS compliance.
Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
