Ict Product Manager

**About the role**:
Digital Services and Security Department (DSSD) help to keep Victoria safe by providing reliable, secure, and easy to use technology that enables our people to do their job and our community to access our services. DSSD are a professional team that partners with our business to transform Victoria Police and lead the digital modernisation of the organisation.
Within DSSD, the Information, Communication and Digital Technology Division (ICDT) exists to deliver the technology products and services Victoria Police rely on every day. The Rostering project is DSSD's largest and highest priority ERC funded project that will implement an integrated, enterprise-wide Rostering and Time sheeting solution for Victoria Police. This project is being led by the Project Delivery Division.
ICDT are seeking a Product Manager to support the Rostering Project through its lifecycle and on an ongoing basis post implementation. Under DSSD's ICT Delivery Framework Product Managers work closely with the project team to deliver products with organisational needs in mind ensuring products and services are fit for purpose, efficient, value for money, scalable, modern, future focused and available from any device anywhere.

**Your duties will include**:

- Manage, monitor, and evaluate the Rostering solution to ensure it delivers business needs through the provision of effective services and the ongoing development, enhancement and maintenance of the solution to continually meet the evolving needs of our business.
- Ensure that the Rostering solution delivers quality outcomes, consistency and standardisation in accordance with the appropriate operating framework and agreed standards for the domain.
- Ensure that the Rostering solution delivers consistently high customer experience within the agreed service management and User Experience frameworks.
- Ensure that the Rostering solution is managed effectively to ensure it delivers the agreed service requirements in line with our value management framework.
- Ensure that information management, security & privacy, and quality assurance procedures are implemented and followed to maintain the integrity of the controls environment and comply with Victoria Police standards and procedures with respect to the Rostering solution.
- Develop, maintain, and enable/realise a product roadmap aligned with our business to enable the agreed service and functional needs of the business.
- Leverage and integrate modern ICT platforms, tools and practices into the product including best practice sustainability, security, risk management and cost effectiveness.
- Oversee and provide specialist authoritative advice to support the development and execution of an IT operational strategy, resolution of escalated issues and mitigation of risks for the ICT products and services under management.
- Contribute towards the leadership of a strategic IT function with significant budget and staff responsibilities, ensuring that organisational and operational needs, milestones, key objectives, budgets, timelines and stakeholder requirements are successfully met.
- Manage ICT Product Specialists including staff management and oversight as required.
- Advocate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders and consumers of the Rostering solution and services.
- Represent Victoria Police at external committees, Victorian government ICT and specialist forums.
- Engage with external consultants to implement changes and new additions to the Rostering solution and services.
- Facilitate business analysis, requirements gathering, and backlog management and prioritisation for ICT product enhancements, developments, and defect resolution.
- Ensure that information management and quality assurance procedures are followed to ensure compliance with Victoria Police standards and procedures.
- Manage changes, additions and enhancements to the Rostering solution and services, including overseeing change requests.
- Maintain knowledge of related Rostering products and industry practices and software.

**As the successful applicant, you will have**:

- Experience, knowledge and expertise in developing, maintaining and continuously improving ICT products and services in accordance with industry recognised frameworks, standards and systems within a large, highly complex environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills together with demonstrated strong written communication skills.
- Suitable industry qualifications in an ICT or directly related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience, knowledge and skills.
- Significant people leadership and management experience.
