Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS6 Communications Officer on a contract for 6 months with 6 months potential extension.

**Position Overview**

**_Communications Program contribution _**
- demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Communications account management, including developing and implementing communication strategies for external audiences.
- Internal communications.
- ability to build and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- well-developed time management with the ability to manage multiple projects within changing priorities.
- experience managing communication strategies with the ability to identify areas for improvement, provide content advice and initiate change.
- ability to think strategically and identify ways in which the team and/or section can build on its goals and strategies.
- experience working within a team environment with the demonstrated ability to lead projects and make decisions independently.

**Qualifications and Experience Required**:

- a minimum of 2 years' experience in a related communications discipline.
- well-developed written and oral skills
- the ability to work independently as well as with different teams in a fast-paced environment.
- a degree or diploma or post graduate diploma from an Australian tertiary institution or a comparable overseas qualification, with a major in public relations, communications or stakeholder engagement will be highly regarded.
