**Description**:
The Disability Empowerment and Support Foundation is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as the DESF Assistant House Coordinator in the Perth Area.

This position falls under the department of Administration and is categorised as a Permanent - Full Time role.

As the DESF Assistant House Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the efficient operation of our residential facilities and providing administrative assistance to ensure the smooth running of daily activities.

**Your main tasks will include**:

- Assisting in the coordination of house activities and events, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for residents.
- Managing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining records, and handling correspondence.
- Supporting with the recruitment, training, and supervision of housekeeping and support staff.
- Facilitating effective communication between residents, staff, and external service providers.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance resident care and facility management.
- Assisting with budget monitoring and procurement processes within designated guidelines.

**Skills and Experiences**:

- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience in administrative tasks such as scheduling, record-keeping, and data entry
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a residential setting
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
- Demonstrated competence in using Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software
- A compassionate and empathetic approach towards supporting individuals with disabilities
- Previous experience in a similar role within a residential care or support environment would be advantageous
- An understanding of the principles of confidentiality and privacy in handling sensitive information
