Disability Empowerment and Support Foundation (DESF)
DESF provides staff to various SIL Providers in WA with services from administration to disability support workers.
**Description**:
The Disability Empowerment and Support Foundation is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as a Disability Support Staff member.
This is a permanent, full-time position and will be in Perth or Mandurah
As a Disability Support Staff member, you will play a crucial role in providing assistance and support to individuals with disabilities.
**Your main responsibilities will include**:

- Assisting individuals with daily tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
- Supporting individuals in accessing community resources and participating in social activities
- Implementing personalised support plans to meet the specific needs of each individual
- Providing emotional support and encouragement to promote independence and well-being
- Monitoring and documenting the progress of individuals, reporting any concerns to the appropriate supervisor
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals, family members, and external agencies to ensure personalised care for individuals with disabilities
- Adhering to all organisation policies, procedures, and standards of care

Experience in disability support or a related field is desirable.

- Experience in providing support and care for individuals with disabilities

- Ability to adapt to different environments and situations
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in a disability support setting
- Certification or relevant training in disability support or related field is desirable
