Disability Empowerment and Support Foundation (DESF)
DESF provides staff to various SIL Providers in WA with services from administration to disability support workers.
**Description**:
We are looking for a dedicated Support Staff members to join our team at DESF
We have several positions available between Perth and Mandurah.
As a Disability Support Staff member, your main responsibilities will include:

- Providing direct support to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities
- Assisting with personal care tasks as needed
- Supporting individuals in developing independent living skills
- Implementing person-centered support plans
- Engaging individuals in social and recreational activities
- Assisting with transportation and accompanying individuals to appointments or outings
- Documenting individual progress and any incidents according to established procedures.

This is a position that requires a compassionate and understanding approach towards working with people with disabilities.
**Skills and Experiences**:

- Experience in providing support and care for individuals with disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding the principles of person-centered support.
- Empathy, patience, and compassion towards individuals with disabilities
- Ability to adapt to different environments and situations
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in a disability support setting
- Certification or relevant training in disability support or related field is desirable
