**About who we support**

Vision Australia provides services to more than 25,500 clients from 35 Vision Australia centres in Victoria, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia; and through outreach programs in the Northern Territory and Tasmania.

**About the role**
- Transcribe and encode written material into braille, large print, tactile, DAISY or electronic format using appropriate software and/or other means
- Ensure that all aspects of production achieve a high standard for clients, and meet all standards/key performance indicators set by Vision Australia
- Ensure all work is produced and completed within agreed timeframes.
- Interpret and transcribe visual/graphical material into tactual graphics and/or detailed descriptions working with a sight copyholder and using appropriate software

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Excellent working knowledge of Unified English Braille and Grade II Australian Braille
- Good skills in reading and language comprehension
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand written material and to interpret descriptions of visual and/or graphical material of a technical or specialist nature
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
