This role will bring the human factors and ergonomic technical expertise into optimising systems, products, and environments to enhance human performance, safety, and well-being; focusing on how humans interact with objects and the environment. It will be involved in areas such as concept and detailed design, factory & site acceptance reviews, and post installation operations reviews along with review of existing work environments.
**What you'll do:
- Conduct human factor & ergonomic (HFE) assessments of workspaces, products, and systems to identify potential hazards, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Design and implement HFE solutions to improve user experience, comfort, and safety.
- Analyse user feedback, injury reports, and performance data to inform HFE design decisions and where hot spot interventions are needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, designers, and SH&W professionals to integrate HFE principles into product development and existing areas
- Develop training materials and conduct workshops to educate on HFE best practices. Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in human factors and ergonomics research.
**What you'll bring:
- At least 7 years' of relevant work experience, ideally within Retail or similar fast paced environment
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Factors, Ergonomics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in ergonomic assessment tools and software.
- Experience in Initiating, formulating, and developing multi-disciplinary/stakeholder projects to reduce musculoskeletal risks and enhance human performance.
