Nurse Unit Manager

OverviewJoin to apply for the Nurse Unit Manager role at GenesisCare.We have an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Unit Manager to join us 4 days per week, on a 12-month maternity leave contract.
You will work across our brand-new Radiation Oncology Centre in the Noosa region and our central Sunshine Coast clinic in Buderim.As the Nurse Unit Manager, you are responsible for managing the nursing team to meet GenesisCare's strategy, vision, and values.
This includes providing advanced nursing knowledge and skills, leadership, and effective communication to ensure a positive engaged workforce and appropriate resource management to meet all aspects of legislation.The Nurse Unit Manager will have an excellent understanding of current trends, research and policies in oncology nursing and will work with the centre leader, quality manager and Director of Nursing to ensure evidence-based, best-practice guidelines are applied.ResponsibilitiesLead the nursing staff as an exemplary role model for the profession of nursing, maintaining a high level of communication.Performance development and performance management, as required.Annual performance development reviews for nursing team.Actively support and champion GenesisCare initiatives to improve culture, quality, efficiency and effectiveness, taking on a leadership role within projects where required.Provide support to the Director of Nursing with the ability to cover during leave periods.Work within a multidisciplinary onsite team to implement efficient and effective centre workflow.
