We're now looking for an experienced and driven Financial Controller - Operations to join our growing team and lead the Operations Finance function for our Retirement Living villages across Australia.About the roleThis is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for driving financial excellence across Levande's retirement village operations.
You'll lead a high-performing finance team focused on delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial information that underpins decision-making and supports the strategic direction of the business.You'll partner closely with the Operations team, wider Finance function, and cross-functional stakeholders to enhance financial systems, improve processes, and ensure strong compliance with relevant legislation and accounting standards.Key responsibilitiesLead end-to-end Operations Finance including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and operational cash flow management across multiple sites.Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insights, performance analysis and scenario modelling.Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and relevant Retirement Village legislation in all states.Oversee and enhance financial systems and internal controls to support scalability and efficiency.Coordinate external audits and engage with investors and regulators as needed.Champion continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to broader transformation projects across Finance.Provide leadership and coaching to a team of finance professionals across various locations.About youYou're a strategic finance leader with strong technical accounting skills, a collaborative style, and the ability to drive business performance through insight and partnership.
You're hands-on, adaptable, and passionate about making a meaningful contribution in a purpose-led organisation.You'll also bring:Significant experience in financial control, operational finance, and reporting across multi-site environments (e.g. retirement living, hospitality, or aged care).
Proven leadership experience and ability to mentor and guide finance teams.Advanced Excel skills and strong systems capability (D365 experience highly regarded).
A detail-oriented, "can do" mindset, with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.What's in it for you?
