About the Role
Do you possess the capability and understanding of systems and processes required to deliver accountable services statewide?
The Therapies and Nursing team is implementing a new model to deliver equitable support to Queensland state schools and students.
Occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech language pathology and state schools nursing services support schools to identify barriers to student attendance, participation and learning, and to identify and support schools to implement reasonable adjustments to address those barriers.
The role of the Business Support Officer will be to provide administrative management which is responsive to services requirements.

**Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to**:

- Manage human resource requirements, systems and workflow for supervisory specialist support officers.
- Coordinate systems to ensure accurate management of service referrals.
- Coordinate and monitor resource grants for specialist support staff to support statewide service delivery.
- Coordinate and report on quarterly service delivery data.
- Contribute to the activities of a small and dynamic team as a new borderless therapies and nursing services delivery model is implemented.
- You will report to the Director, Therapies and Nursing in the Student Protection and Wellbeing team in Disability Inclusion and Student Services branch of the Department of Education.

About You
The successful applicant will have the following key attributes:

- Proven ability to collate, manage and report on complex data, including high level skills in developing and maintaining spreadsheets.
- Ability to manage human resource processes for a large number of staff in various regional and school locations.
- Ability to manage financial systems with precision, and coordinate the distribution and management of resource grants.
- High level organisational skills to contribute to the coordination of statewide therapies and nursing services delivery.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to engage with a range of stakeholders, including regions and schools, involved with the delivery of specialist support services.
