We are seeking professional, self-motivated, driven, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team at our luxury hostel/Boutique Capsule Hotel on the Royal Mile with CoDE - The CoURT.CoDE offers high-quality accommodation with a combination of double and multi-share Pod bedrooms.
We are a Capsule Hotel located just off The Royal Mile, opened in August 2019, with over 200 beds, communal kitchen, and social areas, all designed to the highest standards within a historic building.
Our original site on Rose Street has been one of Edinburgh's top-rated accommodations for seven years.WHO YOU AREWe're looking for someone passionate about maintaining high standards as the CoDE family grows.Role and Responsibilities:You should be flexible and willing to work various shifts, including day and night reception shifts, as well as housekeeping.
Reception duties include food & beverage sales and coffee service.Night shifts may vary, but flexibility is appreciated to help you understand all aspects of the business.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Welcoming and caring for guestsChecking guests in and outUpselling food & beverages, including making coffees with our Barista machineBar work, including beer, whisky, and gin salesKitchen assistance and food runningHosting events for guestsResolving guest comments fullyProcessing card paymentsSelling tours and products to enhance guest experienceResponding to requests, calls, emails, and reviews in a friendly mannerCompleting necessary reports (e.g., lost property, logit tasks)HousekeepingMaintaining high cleanliness standards each shiftHandling linen deliveries, making beds, and cleaning rooms and bathroomsCleaning common areas and kitchensPreparing guest departure rooms for new arrivalsCaring for the buildingFollowing health and safety policiesEnsuring doors are lockedReporting maintenance issues and lost & found itemsKeeping common areas clean and tidyProviding feedback on guest commentsREWARDSOpportunity to be part of an innovative, growing brand open to new ideas and initiativesFree stays: Up to 5 complimentary overnight stays annually for you and a guest, subject to availability and conditions.Family & Friends Discount: Up to 30% discount on accommodations at CoDE and Destiny properties, across 7 stays annually.Birthday Vouchers: Celebrating your special day with a voucher.Employee Recognition: Regular acknowledgment of achievements via communication channels.Tour Partnership Program: Discounts on city tours.Staff Food & Beverage Discounts: 20% discount on all food and drinks.Team Events: Regular gatherings and team-building activities.Volunteering Days: Up to one paid day annually for external volunteering, with management approval.If you believe you have the qualities we're looking for, please send your CV and a cover letter explaining why you want to join our team.
