We are seeking professional, self-motivated, driven, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team at our luxury hostel/Boutique Capsule Hotel on the Royal Mile with CoDE - The CoURT.

CoDE offers high-quality accommodation with a combination of double and multi-share Pod bedrooms. We are a Capsule Hotel located just off The Royal Mile, opened in August 2019, with over 200 beds, communal kitchen, and social areas, all designed to the highest standards within a historic building. Our original site on Rose Street has been one of Edinburgh's top-rated accommodations for seven years.

WHO YOU ARE

We're looking for someone passionate about maintaining high standards as the CoDE family grows.

Role and Responsibilities:

You should be flexible and willing to work various shifts, including day and night reception shifts, as well as housekeeping. Reception duties include food & beverage sales and coffee service.

Night shifts may vary, but flexibility is appreciated to help you understand all aspects of the business.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Welcoming and caring for guests
  • Checking guests in and out
  • Upselling food & beverages, including making coffees with our Barista machine
  • Bar work, including beer, whisky, and gin sales
  • Kitchen assistance and food running
  • Hosting events for guests
  • Resolving guest comments fully
  • Processing card payments
  • Selling tours and products to enhance guest experience
  • Responding to requests, calls, emails, and reviews in a friendly manner
  • Completing necessary reports (e.g., lost property, logit tasks)

Housekeeping

  • Maintaining high cleanliness standards each shift
  • Handling linen deliveries, making beds, and cleaning rooms and bathrooms
  • Cleaning common areas and kitchens
  • Preparing guest departure rooms for new arrivals

Caring for the building

  • Following health and safety policies
  • Ensuring doors are locked
  • Reporting maintenance issues and lost & found items
  • Keeping common areas clean and tidy
  • Providing feedback on guest comments
