Who we are looking forReporting directly to the SVP - Global Head of Markets Operations, this position is the Global Head of Portfolio Solutions Operations and leads teams across Sydney, Boston, India, UK, and Poland.Markets Operations Business lines include Client Onboarding, Data Maintenance, and Operational support for Financing Solutions, Foreign Exchange, Collateral, Treasury, Portfolio Solutions, Regulatory Reporting, Business Optimization, and Product teams.We seek an industry leader with hands-on experience in Operational and Regional Management within a Markets business.

SSM provides research, trading, securities lending, and portfolio strategies to institutional asset managers, aiming to enhance and preserve client portfolio values through technology and market integration.If you are ready to make your mark in the capital markets industry from day one, this is the role for you.What you will be responsible forAs Global Head of Portfolio Solutions Operations, you will:Support the Portfolio Solutions business, including trade booking and settlement for equity and fixed income transactions globally.Lead product expansion initiatives and establish operating models to support the business.Oversee IT activities related to Portfolio Solutions using global staff and budgets.Manage regulatory, reputational, and operational risk events.Supervise approximately 30 FTEs across 6 locations, focusing on staff engagement and retention.Oversee third-party vendor support, ensuring adherence to scope of work and risk management.What we valueSkills to help you succeed:Lead transformation initiatives to deliver a standardized global operating model supported by new technology infrastructure.Maintain a strong control environment to ensure processes are robust and compliant.Partner with Technology and transformation teams to enhance workflow efficiency and increase straight-through processing (STP).
Promote process improvement across functions involved in end-to-end processes.Implement governance to monitor key metrics, using data to identify issues and opportunities.Engage with senior Front Office stakeholders to provide transparency and collaborate on improvements.Drive strategic projects to evolve the operating model and future vision.Manage budgets, headcount, and strategic investments.Implement best practices and tools for resource optimization.Stay updated on regulatory and market changes, ensuring compliance and service standards.Partner with ERM and compliance to uphold resiliency and control standards.Ensure quality in incident reporting, documentation, and remedial actions.Oversee vendor performance and accountability.Education & Preferred Qualifications20 years of experience in Banking Operations within a large multinational bank.Experience in regulatory reporting is a plus.
The candidate should be energetic, with executive presence, effective communication, stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and influencing skills.Strong risk management and control focus.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions and resolve conflicts.Focus on risk identification, control enhancement, and driving innovation.
