Portfolio Solutions Director

This is a high-level leadership position responsible for overseeing the Global Head of Portfolio Solutions Operations team across multiple locations. The successful candidate will possess hands-on experience in operational management, with a deep understanding of how banking operations teams are run and knowledge of allied functions.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned executive who can exhibit strategic vision, effective communication, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution skills. They will be adept at influencing others and have a strong risk management and control focus.
- Support the Portfolio Solutions business across Sales Trading, Partnered Trading, and Transition Management businesses.
- Lead product expansion initiatives and establish operating models to support the business.
- Oversee third-party vendor support ensuring adherence to service level agreements and risk management.
- Responsible for assisting the management of regulatory, reputational, and operational risk events.
- Oversee circa 30 FTEs across 6 locations driving staff engagement and retention.
The role requires a strong governance framework to monitor and track business-as-usual metrics, using data to identify issues to resolve and opportunities for improvement. The successful candidate will engage with senior stakeholders in Front Office to partner with and provide transparency into challenges and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
- 20 years' experience in Banking Operations in a large multinational bank.
- Experience in regulatory reporting is a plus.
- Strong risk management and control focus.
- A demonstrated ability to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to facilitate discussions and resolve conflicts between various stakeholders with competing interests.
