Treasury Trader

The Treasury Trader (aka Senior Treasury Analyst) assists with management of the Company's day-to-day currency positions arising from its money transfer and business payments products.Primary responsibilities include:managing Convera's FX risk by hedging client trade activity with our foreign exchange bank counterparties within prescribed interest rate and currency risk limitsquoting FX prices across multiple products, and structuring option contracts for the Sales team.complete operational functions including: FX option, spot, swap, and forward deal execution, entry of trade data into the Treasury risk management system, exotic currency booking and return processingmanagement of daily and ad hoc reporting activities.This is a hybrid role, split between our modern Sydney CBD office (with water & city views), and WFHvariable working hours are sometimes required to meet trading market availabilityWhat we want from youStrong knowledge of financial markets and foreign exchange instruments, including FX forwards, and the ability to demonstrate an understanding of complex Option strategies.The diverse set of currency exposures, high volumes and fast paced environment requires flawless execution, attention to detail, precise communication, and aptitude for operational processes.Additionally, the successful candidate will have a strong analytical skillset, and interest or experience in data management and entry level coding.programming knowledge would an advantage - VBA, Python, SQLStrong written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholdersAptitude to formulate suggestions to address complicated financial risk scenariosStrong financial modeling, Excel, and analytical skillsBachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or related subject is preferred but not essential, likewise any further education (eg MBA)Convera is a global leader in commercial payments that powers international business by moving money with ease.
