We are currently looking for a Operations Planning Manager to join our team in Sydney.
The role is to lead and control the end-to-end workforce management process including forecasting, scheduling, and rostering. Manage the centralised workforce planning team in Sydney as well as being point of contact for internal and external stakeholders inclusive of customer airlines.
**Key duties and tasks will include, but not be restricted or limited to**:
- Ensuring that accurate schedules are maintained and SLA's of the various airline customers are met through effective and efficient planning of staff and equipment resources.
- Ensuring that resources requirements are determined in an efficient and economical manner as required.
- Assist with controlling operational costs through effective and efficient planning.
- Provide planning for new business and contract renewals - analyse cover with business fit.
- Provide support and end user systems training.
- Challenge roster patterns and practices to deliver best cost results to the business.
- Facilitate communication with AU & NZ user groups and support team.
- Maintain library of reference guides and update local customisations as required.
- Escalate technical issues within functional team and software provider when applicable.
- Administer system upgrades where required.
- Design and implement customized reports based on local requirements.
- Provide support and expertise to local administrators during system implementation
- Management of workforce planning team inclusive of performance reviews and training.
- Managing escalations from stakeholders regarding rostering practices and work towards a viable outcome.
- Assisting with roster production, problem solving and liaising with local station management and/or allocators as well as ensuring that adequately trained staff are scheduled to satisfy the requirements of the various airlines along with adhering to local work and rest time regulation.
- Analysing customer airline schedules and providing feedback when schedules do not work for the business including alternative timings.
- Any other task assigned by the RVP Operations Planning & Systems.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Demonstrate high attention to detail and accuracy and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Proven planning experience, especially in a ground handling environment.
- Must have knowledge of rostering concepts and Enterprise Agreement requirements.
- Proven Time Management Skills.
- Demonstrate confidentiality to the company and management team.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Be able to develop a good working relationship with operational management and other internal stakeholders.
- Proven ability to Multitask.
- Be able to adapt easily to change.
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
- Be able to work well under pressure and meet required deadlines.
- Knowledge of work-related processes & procedures (applicable to this role)
