JBS Australia's Northern Division operates five strategically-placed processing facilities as well as five feedlots across Queensland and New South Wales, with access to an extensive network of quality cattle. Our network provides the ability to meet the specific demands of various market segments with an extensive range of grain-fed and pasture-fed products.

An exciting opportunity for a skilled full time motivated Maintenance Fitter currently exists at our Beef City Feedlot. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor the position forms part of a small team that is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of the feedlot and farm infrastructure and plant.

**Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)**:

- To ensure maximum equipment uptime is achieved by providing effective and efficient mechanical preventative and breakdown maintenance.
- Welding and fabrication duties as required.
- Engage in making, fitting or repairing mechanical machines, instruments or appliances.
- Ensure that all mechanical work is carried out to meet the Company safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to identify faults with the ability to troubleshoot and rectify problems.
- Other responsibilities that may come up, such as working on projects.

**About you**:

- Cert III Engineering Mechanical trade qualifications and post-trade experience of a minimum of 2 years.
- Previous welding and fabrication experience preferred;
- Welding and cutting with, S/S Tig, Mig, Stick, Oxy advantageous
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
- Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Effective and efficient fault finding and diagnostic skills.
- A thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices.
- Understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures.
- Sound computer skills.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations/procedures.
- Confined Space and BA Competence highly desired.
