The New Acland Coal Mine (NAC), a thin seam open cut mining operation is owned and managed by New Hope Group. Based in Acland, a short drive north-west of Toowoomba NAC has played a key role in the Darling Downs region as an employer and economic contributor since it began operation in October 2002.

**About the role**:
As NAC continues to grow, we are now seeking experienced Maintenance Fitters (Mechanical Trade) to join the Mobile Maintenance Team on a permanent, full-time basis. Working a 7/7 day / night rotating roster and reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Mobile Maintenance Fitter plays a pivotal role in performing safe & effective mobile machinery maintenance and delivering machine availability targets.

**What you will do**:

- Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance activities on a wide range of Caterpillar, Hitachi & Letourneau heavy earthmoving machinery
- Conduct engine and component rebuilds across the mining fleet
- Diagnostics and fault finding to determine developing issues & existing problems
- Ensure the workplace cleanliness is always kept to a high standard
- Comply with New Hope Group's Health, Safety and Environmental procedures at all times

**To be considered for these opportunities you will bring**:

- Mechanical Trade Qualifications within the Mechanical Engineering fields
- Current coal board medical and Standard 11 Induction (Or willing to obtain)
- Experience with Caterpillar, Hitachi and Letourneau machines
- Queensland driver's licence (manual)
- Experience with computer-based maintenance systems (desirable)

- Ability to undergo and pass a coal board medical
- Ability to work a rotating 7/7 day / night roster including weekends and night shift
- The ability to contribute to and work as part of team in a fast-paced environment
