Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining production equipment and facilities to ensure they meet production targets and output requirements. This includes using a disciplined approach to preventive maintenance and equipment repair to support efficient plant and machinery operation.
The role involves completing start-up and shut-down operations, providing day-to-day production support, participating in the planned maintenance program using the company's computerized maintenance management system, and maintaining compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
A high standard of safety and safe working practices across all work areas must be upheld. The ability to collaborate with a supportive team while working in rotating shift patterns, including weekends, is essential.
About You
To be considered for this role, you should possess a Fitter qualification and have experience in FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods). Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability, along with the ability to proactively plan and manage workload, are also required.
Solid physical capability, a 'can-do' attitude, willingness to work cooperatively and efficiently with all departments on the grading floor, and accountability for completed work are essential skills.
Reliability and flexibility to work additional hours due to unforeseen circumstances, effective communication skills, and willingness to participate in relevant training to ensure ongoing compliance with company policies and procedures are also necessary.
In addition, you must be willing to adhere to strict bio-security requirements, which include not keeping live birds, chickens or pigs at home.
