The applicant will be required to work in the existing team, under the direction of our current technical support staff, assisting the Maintenance Team - Grading Floor to contribute to meeting the business goals.Please visit to learn more about who we are.About the Role ...A Maintenance Fitter on our Grading Floor works within an air-conditioned, state-of-the-art production facility equipped with advanced machinery.
This includes Moba egg packing and grading systems, carton packing and palletising robotics, as well as a wide array of automation and process control equipment.
Key Responsibilities Proactively maintain production equipment and facilities to ensure they meet production targets and output requirements.
Use a disciplined approach to preventive maintenance and equipment repair to support efficient plant and machinery operation.Complete start-up and shut-down operations, and provide day-to-day production support.Participate in the planned maintenance program using the company's computerized maintenance management system.Maintain compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
Uphold a high standard of safety and safe working practices across all work areas.Collaborate with a supportive team while working in rotating shift patterns, including weekends.About You ...Fitter qualification.Experience in FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.Ability to proactively plan and manage workload.Solid physical capability.A "can-do" attitude, with a willingness to work cooperatively and efficiently with all departments on the grading floor.Willingness to assist contractors when necessary.Accountability for completed work.Ability to work unsupervised.Reliability and flexibility to work additional hours due to unforeseen circumstances.Effective communication skills.Willingness to participate in relevant training to ensure ongoing compliance with company policies and procedures.Please note - Candidates must be willing to adhere to strict bio-security requirements, which include not keeping live birds, chickens or pigs at home.If you meet the above criteria and you're interested in contributing to an organisation that values the highest level of quality in everything it sets out to achieve, we want to hear from you
