Engineering Manager

We're looking for someone to join us in Digital Platforms to work with the engineering teams to share technology best practises, help shape the engineering backlog and maintain our focus on reliability.
- 3 - 5 years demonstrable experience of leading and managing software/platform engineering teams.
- Driven industry best practices and standards within software/platform engineering.
- 3+ years of experience managing Kubernetes platforms
- Operational experience in running critical production platforms/services.
- A proven track record of planning, designing, executing and delivering results.
- A good understanding of the capabilities required to be successful in a DevOps environment.

You will be responsible for technology end to end across one or more delivery teams, including quality, design, observability, support and security. Working with the technical team leaders to establish and embed best practice within Cloud Platform Engineering.

As an Engineering Manager you will be looked on to build upon the existing culture of personal and professional growth of our engineers, fostering innovation & collaboration and early identification / escalation of risks. You will play a key part in attracting, developing and retaining the best engineers, through coaching and mentoring.

You will have experience in a similar leadership role, having been exposed to multiple different technologies and be passionate about technology. Your role will require you to engage senior business representatives to understand their motivations, using your knowledge of emerging technologies to help shape the combined business and technology strategies
