About the role*

The Quality and Education Coordinator in collaboration with the GM, will assess quality initiatives and outcomes by evaluating audit results, incidents and feedback, and keeping abreast of best practice clinical and personal care.

Reporting to the Client Services Manager, the Quality and Education Coordinator is a pivotal position providing and promoting clinical and operational strategies to maximise client and staff safety - through effective education programmes.

You will maintain open communication with the Client Services Manager about best practice, in clinical guidance, professional support and advice on client care related issues as required. Encourage staff feedback on current practices to shape Quality and Education innovation.

Identify and encourage opportunities for improvement in the delivery of services to clients, contribute to and manage the Community's Continuous Improvement Programme relating to Quality and Education.

Support and foster the development of the learning environment by planning and delivering education for employees as identified by the Management Team whilst supporting staff to meet work directives, and the policies, procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of LHI.

The Requirements: *
Ability to recognise clinical risk and identify clinical indicators.
Solid understanding of Aged Care accreditation process including Aged Care Quality Standards
Proven leadership skills and effective time management and problem solving skills
Well-developed interpersonal communication skills - written and verbal.
Ability to work as part of a team and assist in the development of the team.
Able to work with mínimal supervision and to work autonomously when required.
Valid license to drive.
Empathy with the Christian Philosophy of LHI and demonstration of behaviours consistent with LHI values
Meets relevant Australian and State Government vaccination requirements
