Our South Melbourne Head Office is a modern, vibrant hub just minutes from the CBD, featuring collaborative workspaces, state-of-the-art training facilities, and a passionate team focused on supporting our centres and their communities.About the RoleReporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, the Operations Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of our business.
You\'ll coordinate administrative processes, streamline workflows, and help ensure the timely execution of critical operational tasks.
This role also acts as a vital link between our operational team, management, and centre-based staff—making sure communication is clear, consistent, and aligned with regulatory and organisational standards.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and monitor day-to-day operational activities to ensure efficiency and compliance across operational processes and proceduresAssist with tracking and execution of operational initiatives and project timelinesMaintain accurate project documentation, reports, and recordsAct as a key liaison between business units, ensuring effective communication and follow-throughCoordinate the operational setup of new centres in collaboration with internal stakeholdersSupport the implementation of the company's pedagogical philosophy and learning framework across servicesSupport compliance processes such as audits, policy reviews, and implementation of updated regulationsCollaborate with Centre Leaders to follow up on action items and monitor quality improvementsSchedule meetings, prepare agendas, and manage project logisticsAbout YouYou thrive in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment and bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
You enjoy working with people across departments and have a genuine interest in early childhood education and compliance.Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask across competing prioritiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to use project management and tracking tools (e.g., Excel, Trello, Asana)Basic understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and childcare regulations—or a strong willingness to learnRelevant qualifications or experience in business administration, operations, project coordination, or early childhood education (advantageous but not essential)Why Join Explorers?
