Rosebery is an underground polymetallic base metal mine located in the township of Rosebery in Tasmania, Australia.

The Rosebery Mine has been at the heart of the Rosebery community since 1936 and is one of Tasmania's largest and oldest continuously operating, underground mines producing zinc, copper and lead concentrates, as well as gold doré.

It supports approximately 500 workers and their families, has a strong community focus and engages a wide range of local businesses from across Tasmania in its supply chain boosting the economy of the West Coast of Tasmania and beyond.

MMG has an office in Burnie, giving employees the flexibility when they are not required onsite.

Rosebery is located on Tasmania's west coast in close proximity to Strahan and a couple of hours drive from Burnie and Devonport. Rosebery offers exceptional outdoor experiences with fishing, canoeing, white water rafting, rock climbing and walking at your doorstep.

**Mining Supervisor**

We are currently seeking an experienced Mine Supervisor to plan, coordinate, and manage daily tasks in the underground mine. The goal is to meet the weekly mining schedule and carry out tasks safely as directed by the Mine Superintendent.

The Mine Supervisor is responsible for directly supervising all personnel under their control and ensuring that tasks are carried out safely, as assigned, and according to safe work methods. This role is offered on a working roster of 7 shifts on (Night/day), 7 days off roster.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Driving safety behaviours to achieve zero harm, be accountable and drive safety as a front-line function.
- Managing a full crew of employees, assuming direct control and responsibility for all activities within the area of responsibility in the underground mine.
- Ensuring tasks are assigned to personnel who have the skills, knowledge, experience and temperament to complete the task safety.
- Confirming personnel are fit for work and have the resources required for the allocated task.
- Making sure production targets and priorities are safely met as per the daily plan and direction from the Mine Superintendent.

**Qualifications & Competencies**

To be successful in the position we require:

- A total commitment to safety.
- Demonstrated experience in an underground mine.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience at an underground mine.
- Exposure and experience with the operation of a variety of mining equipment.
- Demonstrated experience in a hard rock mining environment, including development and/or production.
- General experience with mine ventilation, dewatering, geotechnical awareness and drill and blast methods.
- Full driver's license.
- Ability to problem solve and multitask.
- Comfortable to present and speak in front of large groups of people.
