This roster is 8/7/7/6 and a 12.5 hour day.
(Day Shift Wednesday to Wednesday, Night Shift Thursday to Wednesday)

About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity at Cowal, guiding a crew of up to 40 surface mining operators through day-to-day haulage and stockpile operations.
Reporting to the Superintendent – Mine Operations, you will be the central point for safety, coordination, and crew performance across a dynamic and expanding site.
Cowal is entering an exciting phase with new pits and a life of mine extending to 2042, offering long-term stability and growth.
You will be part of a team that values safety, accountability, and operational excellence, and you will have the opportunity to shape how shift operations run.

About You
You are an experienced mining professional with a strong background in open cut operations, quarrying, or civil construction.
You have led crews before, formally or in acting roles, and know how to get the best out of a team with mixed experience levels.
You are motivated by operational efficiency, safety, and the chance to make a real impact.
You bring:
7+ years of heavy equipment experience and proven supervisory capability
A current manual license plus other relevant licenses and tickets (Cert IV TAE is a bonus)
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, INX, and incident/hazard management systems
A practical mindset, strong communication skills, and a collaborative approach
You understand the rhythm of mining operations and are ready to step into a role where leadership and logistics meet.
