The Infrastructure Division has responsibility for the planning and provision of facilities (land, buildings and equipment), which includes land planning, student enrolment forecasting and facilities planning, strategic asset management, capital works programs, maintenance and minor works programs and provision of facilities related services.
The Infrastructure Operations Directorate is responsible for the provision of services to schools in relation to security and emergency management and environmental services (including water and tree management, and contaminated site investigations and remediation), and property management and leasing. The directorate also manages contracts, including the WA Schools Public Private Partnership, lawnmowing and hygiene contracts.
The Role
The Senior Property Coordinator manages the Department's occupied and surplus property to meet requirements and ensures any under-utilised premises, either owned or leased, are available for use within the Department's requirements for accommodation. They negotiate and coordinate office accommodation, maintenance of leased premises, building management and office fitouts.
If successful, you will prepare budgets, coordinate resources, manage contracts, authorise payments and procure goods and services to implement agreed initiatives. You will also monitor and report on their performance. Additionally,you will be expected to contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, principles and guidelines for property management.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience to manage minor works and maintenance projects. Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), including negotiation and mediation skills, and the ability to develop and leverage working relationships with a range of stakeholders to achieved project outcomes. Demonstrated resource management and planning skills including financial management and information management and the ability to lead teams. Demonstrated highly developed planning and organisational skills and the ability to complete work within timeframes.
