TLEA is currently inviting applications for a two-year maximum term position as a Process Control Systems Engineer, based at our Kwinana plant on a Monday to Friday roster.Role detailsReporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of modifications to the Process Control System (PCS) at the Tianqi Lithium Kwinana (TLK) Lithium Hydroxide Refinery.
This role is critical in supporting the delivery of a portfolio of brownfield projects aimed at enhancing and debottlenecking refinery operations.ResponsibilitiesWorking with stakeholders to develop the functional specificationsProgramming and commissioning of the control system according to the functional specificationsDesign engineering solutions for the control systemFollow Management of Change processesIdentify and assess risks using enterprise risk framework policies and procedures, develop and implement risk mitigation plansTesting, maintaining and modifying existing process control systemsOptimising strategies to prevent operational and production delays and minimise lifecycle costs for instrumentation and control infrastructureAssist in fault finding and failure investigations, and the subsequent rectification workEssential RequirementsTertiary Engineering degree with professional experience in process control systemsPrevious experience in chemical or mineral processing industryGood understanding of distributed control system and control system architectureExtensive experience with Rockwell PLC & SCADA programming (Siemens highly regarded)Demonstrated ability to understand control philosophy and configure control system as per the functional requirementsConfiguration and commissioning of DOL and Variable Speed DrivesExcellent problem solving and fault-finding skillsContribute to a green and sustainable industry of the futureBenefitsCompetitive salary with a performance-based discretionary bonus structure12.5% SuperannuationRewards and recognition programLong service leave option after 5 years (pro rata)Supportive colleagues committed to your success and well-beingInclusive and diverse work environmentLocationTLEA acknowledges the Whadjuk and Gnaala Karla Boodja people of the Noongar Nation as the traditional custodians of the Kwinana area, where we operate our plant.
