Job Title: System Performance Optimizer

This role is a full-time position within the Operations team.

  • Develop and implement process optimization strategies to enhance operational efficiency, prevent downtime, and minimize lifecycle costs of Process Control Systems.
  • Review and improve control system strategies to achieve optimal performance.
  • PID loop tuning on complex systems.
  • Alarm rationalization and root cause analysis.
  • Update and test control system software, firmware, and patches.
  • Reporting and data analysis.
  • Configure and maintain Process Control Systems, instrumentation, and related infrastructure.
  • Implement changes according to Management of Change processes.
  • Analyze assets (PCS components) and predict maintenance requirements.
  • Identify and assess risks using enterprise risk framework policies and procedures, develop and implement risk mitigation plans.
  • Assist in fault finding and failure investigations, and the subsequent rectification work.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary Engineering degree with professional experience in process control and instrumentation.
  • Good understanding of distributed control systems and control system architectures.
  • Extensive experience with PLC & SCADA programming.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand control philosophies and configure the control system as per functional requirements.
  • PID loop tuning on complex systems.
  • Configuration and commissioning of field instrumentation and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of Industrial protocols.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (especially Excel).
