**Permanent Part-Time** position available for an enthusiastic **Social worker t**o join our Allied Health team at **Nambour Selangor Private Hospital**.

**About the Role**

As a Social Worker at Selangor you will be responsible for providing high quality care to patients within our health service. The position will involve working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team but also having a strong ability to work autonomously. The position involves completing comprehensive psychosocial assessments, close liaison with patients, their families and other relevant stakeholders. The role will involve participation in clinical meetings, counselling services and helping facilitate an appropriate discharge plan from hospital. In this role you will be the sole Social Worker working across Rehabilitation, medical wards and palliative care. You will be supported by the wider Allied Health team (including a Discharge planner) and will be linked in with other Ramsay Hospital Social Workers for any mentoring requirements. You will receive professional development opportunities as they become available and support from your clinical team, leaders and manager. **About You**

You thrive on working in a team environment, collaborating with others with a passion for resolving conflicts and handling challenging conversations. You are organised with excellent time management skills. You have the ability to manage a demanding workload and are able to effectively prioritise tasks.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

- Member or eligibility to be a member of AASW
- Ability to work and contribute to team culture and work within a multidisciplinary environment
- Established computer literacy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Clinical skills in comprehensive assessment, risk identification, discharge planning and counselling
- Social Work experience in a hospital or related setting, as well as a good understanding of community support services.
- Discharge planning experience, while non-essential, is highly valued.

- Must be **vaccinated against COVID-19** (including the third dose, as required) by a vaccine approved by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation.

- According to the role, Ramsay may require a **Working-With-Children check** and **proof of immunisation **against infectious diseases.
