**About the role**

As a Facilities and Sustainability Specialist, you'll oversees the overall operations and maintenance of ARTs national facilities (including regional offices and member centres), ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for employees, visitors and members.

You will be responsible for managing ART's national facility services/ vendors / contractors to SLAs in accordance with the Workplace Health & Safety Act, coordinating and directing maintenance activities across all locations, implementing health and safety protocols, managing building access and CCTV security and supporting activities that will assist optimising the use of space for collaboration and community-building initiatives.

Day to day, you'll:

- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of building maintenance, repairs and relocations on a national level, including preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, and emergency repairs through an outsourced vendor. Ensuring that SLA's and contractual agreements are adhered to.
- Manage end to end design, implementation and documentation of the day-to-day delivery of all aspects related to building access and security. Working alongside building owners, facility managers, security vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure requirements are met and adhered to.
- Develop and implement sustainability programs and initiatives, such as energy conservation measures, waste reduction programs, and renewable energy implementation.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders managing contracts and relationships to achieve workplace budget and sustainability goals.
- Collect and analyse data related to building performance, energy consumption, waste generation, and other sustainability metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Actively participate as a WHS Committee representative, overseeing all facilities related WHS issues and managing changes as required alongside Safety and Wellbeing team.

- Demonstrated project management experience in large facilities across multiple sites.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices and sustainability principles.
- Strong knowledge of current legislation and best practice relating to facilities and WHS regulations.
- Strong stakeholder relationship management and communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience with change management practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Experience with budgeting and financial management.
- Innovative thinking to develop solutions, identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Demonstrated experience using IT systems and Microsoft suite of products.
- Appropriate level of fitness and strength for manual lifting - energetic role.
