**About the role**:
We have a newly created Digital & Social Lead - 60 Minutes position based in our Sydney office. Reporting to the Executive Producer, 60 Minutes and Head of News & Sport Social, this role is responsible for creating and managing the program's digital content across 9Now, social media, YouTube and the 60 Minutes website. You will be responsible for growing the program's digital audience and engagement, maintaining high-standards and innovating the way 60 Minutes content is delivered both locally and internationally. This position sits on the News & Sport Social department leadership team and you will have the opportunity to help shape the social media strategy for the wider department.

**About you**:
You are an innovative digital journalist with a minimum 5 years experience in writing, video and social media. The ultimate all-rounder you know how to to write compelling copy while also creating best in class video and graphics content with the help of our in-house producers, editors and designers. You have demonstrated experience running a high-performing YouTube channel and social media accounts driving both audience and revenue outcomes. You're as comfortable working with on-air talent as you are editors and designers and can prioritise multiple projects at once.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Working with journalists, producers and editors to create innovative, bespoke digital content
- End-to-end production and editing of video content for digital platforms and social media accounts
- Customising existing content for vertical video platforms
- Developing and writing articles for the 60 Minutes website
- Managing 60 Minutes' digital presence across on and off network platforms
- Evaluating and reporting on the success of your work
- Strategic thinking to ensure 60 Minutes is ahead of the curve, growing new audiences
- Meeting and exceeding audience and revenue targets
- Strategic thought leadership across the News & Sport Social department
- Weekend and after hours work

**Qualifications**:
**Essential qualities and skills**:

- A journalism degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years experience on a news or current affairs program or website
- Advanced writing skills, with a developed understanding of defamation law and social media moderation
- Strong working knowledge of video products in digital media (Youtube, Facebook, TikTok, Reels, Shorts etc)
- Well-developed, practical experience with Adobe Photoshop & Premiere Pro
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines
- A passionate storyteller with strong attention to detail
- A genuine interest in News and Current Affairs
- Experience with social media management platforms such as Hootsuite & Brandwatch
- You challenge the status quo by speaking up and proactively build trusted relationships
- You take creative and innovative risks and adapt and learn quickly
- You create excellence with humility while acting with empathy and care
