**About the role**

As Regional Land Access Specialist you will contribute to the success of InfraCo's Land Access function by enabling the efficient delivery of new infrastructure to time, cost and quality parameters. You will effectively issue and manage responses to land access notifications and approvals in accordance with relevant obligations obtaining timely Land Access, Cultural Heritage and Environment approvals for network design, construction, and maintenance activities across InfraCo's range of assets. You will regularly engage with stakeholders to constantly improve and cultivate mutually beneficial relationships and support risk and quality audits

Your responsibilities can include:
General Land Access:

- Undertake complex Land Access Operational activities including influencing multiple external stakeholders in order to submit Development Approvals, Above the Line (ATL)/Below The Line (BTL) determinations and obtaining access to sites whilst operating within the Land Access guidelines to allow the provision of services and network installation
- Undertake extensive searches of new Native Title claim areas to identify Telstra assets and translate results into reports suitable for courtroom presentation within strict timelines.
- Perform environmental risk assessments at the design stage of new projects, particularly those involving more complex environmental issues including flora, fauna, heritage and cultural.
- Ensure all relevant legislation is taken into account when assessing land access and construction or maintenance risks.
- Arrange the required notifications and liaise with relevant authorities in relation to environmental risks identified.
- Produce Environmental reports for inclusion in design packs together with Environmental Management Plans for specific projects where required.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in legislation, policy and process relating to the environment.
- Build effective relationships with customer and stakeholder groups to allow timely delivery of customer services.
- Develop and maintain an accurate and up to date database of stakeholder contact details to enable strategic engagement to be well informed.
- Develop sound working relationships with state and federal government bodies, and local authorities.
- Arrange for all Land Access requirements to be satisfied for each project, including the use of the National Notification and Compliance System (NNACS) for notifications.
- Ensure that all Land Access and Environmental data is entered accurately to all relevant databases in a timely manner whilst seeking opportunity to improve and develop methods of information capture and storage.
- Good level of knowledge and ability to utilise, interrogate and update various systems, DBoRs, tools and processes in the delivery of designs
- Provide assistance to designers, undertake a range of pre or post design activities within predetermined timeframes to set performance standards and to prescribed compliance standards.
- In fulfilling this role, you may be required to undertake field inspections, relevant to the above duties. This may require travel to and from worksites and as such the ongoing possession of a driver's licence will be required in accordance with State and Federal Laws.

Audit:

- Contribute to the continued improvement of the Audit Framework.
- Lead and / or conduct audit engagements as defined by the Land Access Audit framework.
- Collaboratively with suppliers and internal designers to close out Non Conformance Audits determining "Root Cause", "Corrective Action" and "Remedial Action".

Operational / delivery:

- Resolve objections escalated from internal Design and Construction and Operations and Maintenance teams and external partners and suppliers.
- Obtain Above the Line approvals for sensitive stakeholders.
- Provide governance of land access risks and issues across all InfraCo asset portfolios ensuring appropriate visibility to senior management and mitigating risk exposure.
