Key Roles and Responsibilities

This is a challenging role that requires effective issue and management of responses to land access notifications and approvals. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in enabling the efficient delivery of new infrastructure.

  • Manage complex Land Access Operational activities, influencing external stakeholders to submit Development Approvals and Above/Below the Line determinations.
  • Identify Telstra assets in new Native Title claim areas and translate results into reports for courtroom presentation.
  • Perform environmental risk assessments at the design stage of new projects.
  • Evaluate all relevant legislation when assessing land access and construction risks.
  • Arrange notifications and liaise with authorities regarding environmental risks.
  • Develop Environmental reports for inclusion in design packs.
  • Build strong relationships with customer and stakeholder groups.
  • Establish connections with state and federal government bodies and local authorities.
Audit and Compliance

The ideal candidate will contribute to improving the Audit Framework and lead or conduct audit engagements as defined by the Land Access Audit framework.

Operational Excellence

The successful candidate will resolve escalated objections from internal teams and external partners, obtain Above the Line approvals for sensitive stakeholders, and govern land access risks across InfraCo asset portfolios.
