**Introduction**:
Come join our team at St Basil's Lakemba. Conveniently located near public transport, or with plenty of staff parking available, and you'll be working alongside an incredibly supportive team. We're currently looking for four (4) individuals to fill part-time PM and night shifts.
**About the Role**:
As a Carer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive resident experience. You'll provide care, companionship, and emotional support to residents to help support their independence and improve their quality of life by enhancing their psychological, spiritual, social, and physical well-being.
Collaborating closely with our nursing team, this position entails delivering high-quality care to our residents, tailored to their unique needs. Responsibilities include assisting in daily activities, implementing personalised care plans, assisting with mobility, ensuring safe and high-quality care aligned with Aged Care Quality Standards, thorough documentation, and promoting a team-oriented environment.
Flexible and able to work across all shifts (PM, and night).
**To succeed in this role, you will have**:
Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or in Aged Care.
Previous experience working in residential aged care.
Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Available to work a minimum of three days per week.
Passion for enhancing the lives of older people and an understanding the needs of people living with dementia.
Ability to provide quality care and exceptional service.
Respectful approach that supports people based on their choices.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team, as well as the confidence to work independently.
