About the role
The AGL Manager Security Regulatory Advisory is responsible for understanding the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Bill, as well as all other relevant security regulations on behalf of AGL. They are responsible for ensuring the wider team is informed of their compliance responsibilities under these regulations and how to best achieve this.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead and manage AGL's compliance activities as it relates to the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) legislation, data retention and reporting and other relevant legislation ensuring the business is adequately prepared and compliant.- Developing, implementing, and maintaining AGL's security compliance framework and processes, to ensure compliance maturity against the AGL security and compliance standards and relevant enterprise domains.- Ensure the security compliance management activities align to AGL's security strategy, goals, objectives and the over-all AGL business direction.- Collaborating with the OT Security Lead & IT Risk Manager with the day-to-day compliance requirements and compliance planning activities.- Collaborating in the Security Uplift Program, ensuring the Security Group delivers a consistent and high-calibre approach to risk and compliance management activities.- Develops processes to simplify work practices or solves challenges. Recognising the need for improvement, using logic and creativity to meet the changing business needs.- Develops and implements effective performance measures to monitor AGL's security compliance.- Develop strong relationships across Department of Home Affair, ACSC, JCSC, AGL business units, regulatory bodies and AGL customer groups.- Collaboration with the AGL risk team Being consulted and or informed about legislative and regulatory changes/updates that may require action or have an impact on the security compliance program
About you:
You will is responsible to hold liaison with Department of Home Affairs and Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) to ensure AGL is kept aligned with all current regulations and that we work together to clear up any ambiguities in the regulations.
What you'll bring to the role:- Communication skills - The ability to translate technical and complex security concepts into simple business language and risk. Strong influencing skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, convey ideas clearly and with passion.- Collaboration skills - The ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in the successful design, development and improvement of governance bodies and practices, templates, and systems to produce sustained quality operations.- Knowledge - Knowledge of the Critical Infrastructure Act and AESCSF framework or similar.- Technological Skills - Broad technology background across multiple security domains. Understands how the technology is applied to solve business problems across the various business domains which include digital, OT, corporate and customer markets.- Experience - Experience leading security teams across multiple disciplines consisting of both internal and contractor employees.
