Cyber Assurance Manager

Overview:

Our organization is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cyber Assurance Manager to spearhead our third-party cyber risk management program.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing rigorous due diligence processes, conducting thorough security assessments, and ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory standards. They will also provide strategic advice on security governance by contributing to policy development and prescribing controls.

This role requires strong knowledge of regulatory and security standards, including APRA CPS 234, ISO27001, and NIST. The ideal candidate will have experience in contractor management and technical understanding of cloud security, banking systems, and platforms like IPS, SIEM, and WAFs.

In this position, you will collaborate across business units to ensure security controls are effective, pragmatic, and tailored to operational needs. You will represent Cyber Security in governance forums and build trusted relationships with key third parties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead third-party cyber risk management program
  • Develop due diligence processes and conduct security assessments
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory standards
  • Provide strategic advice on security governance and prescribe controls
  • Collaborate across business units to ensure security controls are effective
  • Represent Cyber Security in governance forums

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role with proven contractor management expertise
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and security standards, including APRA CPS 234, ISO27001, and NIST
  • Technical understanding of cloud security, banking systems, and platforms like IPS, SIEM, and WAFs
  • Solid grasp of Windows environments, network/application security, and corporate infrastructure
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively
