The Dubbo Osteoporosis Epidemiology Study (DOES) is a ground-breaking research project commenced in 1989 and is the largest study of its kind, made possible by the Dubbo community.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Data Entry Clerk role is responsible for scanning paper records of clinical data, saving these onto a computer server and entering the records into a database. This role will require you to be onsite at the Garvan Institute in Darlinghurst.

**Salary**: Hourly rate of $32.50 + super (inclusive of casual loading)
Employment Type: Casual. Minimum expectation is 20 hours per week with opportunity to work 38 hours per week

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The key responsibilities include:

- Scanning paper documents with clinical information from the Dubbo Osteoporosis Epidemiology Study (DOES), ensuring accurate filenames are used.
- Saving scanned files onto a computer server and uploading to a database.
- Organising scanned files in consultation with Garvan Institute researchers.
- All staff are required to comply with Garvan's workplace polices (as amended from time to time) and especially Garvan's Work Health & Safety (WHS) Policy, including working in accordance with the WHS management system at all times, as safety is Garvan's number one priority.

- Strong attention to detail
- Capacity to work with a high degree of independence
- Well-developed computer skills
- Experience in the use of databases, layout of documents and reports
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks
- Ability to communicate effectively with scientists and clinicians
