About the Role
As the Principal Planning Officer (Local Area Needs Assessment) you will:

- Develop health service needs analysis, plans, positions and other planning products, to inform future service, policy, governance, planning and commissioning decisions.
- Have strong research and critical analysis skills including translating and integrating health literature and other qualitative and quantitative data and information to develop a range of products including health need assessments, service plans, reports, briefs, discussion papers, submissions and presentations.
- Have high level verbal communication skills and achievements in cultivating productive working relationships, partnerships and teamwork, negotiating outcomes and effectively engaging stakeholders.

- Strong knowledge and understanding of the Queensland Health System, including key health system issues, the health needs of key population groups, and health service-related data.
