Principal Finance Officer

**As a Principal Finance Officer you will**: - Support the Manager, Financial Accounting with financial advice, analysis and information to deliver the long-term financial strategy with a focus on driving value. Contribute to the preparation of the annual financial statement process Support the delivery of the department's asset valuation cycle. Deliver design and implementation of systems and processes to improve the effectiveness of service delivery and ensure compliance with all relevant policies andprocedures. Liaise and negotiate with external and internal stakeholders on matters relating to coordination, planning and monitoring of financial management, and highlight issues, resolve problems and provide high level support for financial accounting processes. Support a workplace that enables success and empowers employees to perform to their full potential with a focus on better services and outcomes for the community. Ensure a continuous training program for the non-financial staff in order for these officers to discharge their financial accounting responsibilities.
