**Team Core Function/Role**:
The team is responsible for assess8ing land to be sold back to the government.
The Network Development Leader is responsible for initiating, leading and directing the development of multi-modal road and safety road network projects, traffic and transport impact assessments and ensuring optimum performance and integration for Sydney's arterial road network in a designated precinct in line with defined strategies and objectives. Develop a solution for pricing - creation and writing of Business case.
**Responsibilities**:
- Identify traffic, safety and network performance issues and lead the development of network projects to address the specific, integrated needs of freight, road based public transport, pedestrians cyclists and light vehicles.
- Examine and assess traffic management plans and provide expert advice on major road and road related capital projects to staff and other private and public bodies to ensure optimum traffic flow performance and network integration during construction and operation.
- Collaborate and interface with Sydney Planning and other relevant stakeholders as required to ensure specific projects are developed in line with defined corridor strategies and address immediate to short term network performance issues that have been identified and prioritised.
- Utilise network performance benchmarks and KPI's to enable appropriate, evidence based decision making.
- Guide the assessment and selection of project nominations and proposals to ensure the optimum solutions are fully developed to meet the objectives of integrated road management.
- Monitor and promote best practice to ensure projects are delivered with mínimal impacts on traffic flows and are in the intended scope, budget and timeframe.
