Mutual trust and respect sit at the heart of everything we do.The RoleAn exciting opportunity has opened for a talented Associate or Senior Associate (4–6 years' PQE) to join our Workplace Relations, Employment & Safety team in Melbourne.You'll work closely with two highly regarded partners who are recognised leaders in the employment law space.
The team handles a wide variety of matters, including high-stakes litigation, strategic advisory work, and compliance projects for major clients across diverse industries.Your work will include:Drafting, reviewing, and advising on employment contracts, policies, and procedures;Advising on complex industrial relations and enterprise bargaining negotiations;Providing strategic advice on workplace issues such as performance management, grievances, and terminations;Interpreting legislation including the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) and associated regulations;Running and supporting litigation matters involving unfair dismissal, general protections, and contractual disputes; andMentoring and supporting junior lawyers and graduates within the teamWho We Are Looking ForWe're seeking a lawyer with:4–6 years' post-admission experience in employment law practice (private practice or in-house);A strong understanding of employment legislation and industrial relations frameworks;Experience acting in all major courtsExcellent drafting and communication skills;The ability to work closely and build strong relationships with clients and team members;A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to juggle competing priorities.If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performing, and supportive environment—we want to hear from you.What We OfferAt Mills Oakley, your growth matters.
