This role balances people leadership, technical depth and delivery excellence.
You'll set the technical direction of our platform while empowering engineers to grow and perform at their best.
If you're passionate about building high performing, inclusive teams and delivering impactful software this could be your next great move.What you'll doLead, coach and mentor engineering teams, fostering a culture of growth, accountability and continuous improvementRecruit, onboard and develop engineering talent, supporting career development and performance managementCollaborate with Product, Design and Infrastructure teams to define the technical roadmap and ensure long term project visibilityOversee end-to-end project delivery, aligning technical decisions with architectural standards and business needsDrive Agile practices and ensure teams deliver high quality, scalable solutions incrementally and reliablyContribute to high level architectural decisions and occasionally participate in code reviewsMonitor key engineering metrics like SLO compliance, deployment frequency, lead time and MTTRProactively identify technical risks and guide teams through challenges to successful deliveryPartner with senior leadership to align team goals with company strategy and technology directionWhat you'll have10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in a technical leadership or management roleStrong understanding of Agile methodologies, modern software architecture and engineering best practicesTechnical proficiency in C# (.NET), JavaScript/TypeScript and ideally ReactJSExperience with cloud platforms like AWS and/or AzureProven track record delivering complex, cross-functional projectsFamiliarity with event-driven architecture and microservicesExcellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skillsA collaborative mindset and ability to work closely with cross-functional stakeholdersBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)Key benefitsCollaborative teams – a flat structure means everyone can learn from colleagues and senior leaders around the business.Be involved – come together with all of your colleagues every 100 days to share the product and technology roadmap and business strategy.Flexible working environment – we're headquartered in North Sydney with state based workplaces and offer a flexible work policy.Family support – industry leading 26 weeks paid parental leave.Varied workspaces – our office enables areas for collaboration, brainstorming and socialising as well as focus zones.Range of benefits – supporting your physical, psychological and financial wellbeing.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering and Information Technology
