Our team within Data Technology & Analytics, is primarily responsible for providing the Delivery capability to the business to help manage and deliver solutions that will meet the requirements of our stakeholders.

As a Delivery Lead within Sky Data, you will have direct responsibility for the operation of a key portfolio supporting a defined part of the sky business. Leading a high degree of complexity and inter-dependencies you will be responsible for working with the business, Sky Data and wider technology teams to identify business value and use that to define the portfolio's delivery roadmap. You will also lead subsequent roadmap evolution ensuring alignment with both Sky Data and overall business priorities whilst maintaining value focus.

You will also take ownership for roadmap delivery via effective management of your Delivery Managers, Scrum teams & third parties through timely and relevant communications, whilst providing clear prioritisation decisions when required to cross-functional delivery teams. The role will involve playing the role of "Product Owner" for your portfolio and entail People Management accountability for Delivery Managers.

What you'll do:
- Be accountable to lead the successful operation of a key portfolio.- Work with the business to critically assess business cases and articulate the business value.- Shape value-add business case assessments into delivery plans and include in clearly prioritised delivery roadmaps.- Empowered decision-making authority for prioritisation of the business portfolio.- Lead the backlog and responsible for agreeing and prioritising based on business value & urgency in order to maximise value of the product- Alongside the Business Sponsor be one of the primary advocates for the portfolio.- Lead and negotiate scope, schedule, budget, risks, deployments and communications.- Report to Executive Steering Group (ESG) and other forums on status, risks & issues, budgets and schedules.- Ensure vital governance and controls are in place to ensure successful delivery, including budgets and schedule.- Identify and proactively manage cross portfolio risks, issues and dependencies, clearly articulating the wider impact of a risk or issue should it be realised.- Work with business partners, Portfolio/Programme Leads, Delivery Managers, Scrum Masters and Data Engineering teams to create robust plans for delivery of the portfolio.- Chair backlog refinement and active participation in Sprint Planning, Review, Dailies and Retrospective sessions- Work together with the Delivery Managers and Scrum Masters on the overall sprint and future roadmap & landmark plans.- Work with Delivery Managers, Resource Managers and Scrum Masters to ensure required resources are engaged within necessary timeframe and according to delivery plans of the portfolio.- Leverage a variety of portfolio, programme, project management and agile toolsets and frameworks to deliver on portfolio outcomes, goals and value propositions.- Advocate opportunities for process, technology, automation and product improvements- Ensure that all deliverables adhere to the end-to-end change process and adhere to our best practice standards.- Support and track the management of the department budget, emphasis for this role is on Capex utilisation.- Support Resource Managers with feedback on performance of team members.- Bring in the right talent to establish the team of Delivery Managers.- Grow and develop our Delivery Managers through their career. What you'll bring:
- 8+ years proven record of managing large scale, complex technology and preferably data warehouse related portfolio's- Experience of working in different delivery models, agile / waterfall, in dynamic challenging environment, where there are constant changing demands and priorities.- Experience of complex systems integration projects on a large-scale in agile enviro
