Our
**Federal Government** client is looking for
**Logistics/Procurement Support Officers** for a 12 month assignment in their Melbourne CBD office.

**About the Role**

The initial focus will be through the development of long-term support agreements for current operational networks. The selected
**Logistics/Procurement Support**
**Officer** will work alongside the Bureau staff providing procurement support and procuring inventory in accordance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules

**Responsibilities of the role include**:

- To provide procurement co-ordination and delivery support to Operations and to assist with ongoing project deliverables.
- Liaise with Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to gather procurement requirements, coordinate funding and prioritise workloads.
- Prepare, under limited guidance, the necessary documentation for procurements, such as Registration, Procurement Plans, Approach to Market, Tender Evaluation Plans (If applicable) and Evaluation reports.
- Prepare and official (Delegate) approvals of orders and contracts, including purchase order documentation.
- Ensure all purchasing activities are conducted in accordance with the Agency purchasing policies and Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
- Assist in managing the movements of stock items from suppliers to the Bureau conducting actions within SAP EBS and IBM Maximo Asset Management.
- Arrange and track official orders against supplier contracts and updating of relevant schedules.
- Assist with the coordination of assets, including obtaining quotes and invoicing, through to asset disposal.
- Perform other related administration and support duties as directed.

**Mandatory Skills**:

- High interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal)

**Desirable skills**:

- An understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules
- Qualifications or experience applicable to Procurement
- Qualifications or experience applicable to SAP EBS
- Qualifications or experience applicable to IBM Maximo Asset Management
- Qualifications or experience applicable to Inventory management
