Our client, a leading organization in the Local Council Eastern Suburbs Melbourne, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Finance Officer to join their team on a temporary contract basis for a period of 3 months. **About Our Client**: Our client is a respected Local Council in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, dedicated to delivering high-quality services and fostering community well-being. **Position: Finance Officer**
**Contract Length**: Temporary (ASAP Start, 3-month contract)

**Salary**: $34.79 p/hour + super

**Location**: Local Council Eastern Suburbs Melbourne - Hybrid WFH arrangement available

**Responsibilities**:

- **Raising and receipting Purchase Orders for Utility Bills**:

- Performing full function accounts payable, including processing invoices, managing payments, addressing internal and external customer queries, reconciling creditor statements, and ensuring timely invoice authorizations
- Conducting full function accounts receivable tasks, such as raising invoices and credit notes, producing statements, creating debtor numbers, addressing internal and external customer queries, and managing payment receipts

**Job Requirements**:

- Previous experience in government, not-for-profit, education organizations, or mid to large-scale organizations in a similar role
- TechnologyOne/FinanceOne experience highly regarded
